Jeannie earned her B.S. in Interior Design from Mississippi State and her M.S. in Interior Design from the University of Alabama. She began teaching after 14 years of professional practice. She and her husband own Krumdieck A+I Design, Inc. She has been president of the state chapter and on the National Board of Directors for IIDA. Her work has won recognition from the Design Educator’s National Exhibition, Alabama Chapter of IIDA, and Southern Living and Southern Accents magazines. She was grand-prize winner of the 2008 Southern Accents / ASID National Residential Interior Design Award.

Ken entered academia after twenty years of professional experience in interior design and has taught at Samford for ten years. He is an active member in the Interior Design Educators Council (IDEC) and DCA and regularly exhibits his work in juried art exhibitions. As an educator he is committed to teaching excellence and openness to new approaches. He earned his B.S. and his M.S. in Human Environmental Science from Oklahoma State University.

Charles began teaching after seven years working in a variety of design fields. Prior to joining Samford, he taught in secondary education, propriety education, and a community college. He has a M.A. in Education from Regent University, a degree in Education Administration from Samford University, and a M.A. in Historic Preservation from Savannah College of Art and Design. He is an active member of IDEC, ADDA, The International Code Council, Autocad User Group International (AUGI), and the Southeast Chapter Society of Architectural Historians.
